The days of single-purpose cell phones are coming to an end. Mobile devices like the Apple iPhone are able to place a whole lot of power at your finger tips. Whether you are a music lover, shopper, photographer, professional text’er or just directionally-challenged…these phones have appeal to almost everyone.

First off, we don’t compete with MLS platforms. We never have. The MLS market is strong and already has many players. This is why we designed our platforms to enhance existing MLS platforms instead of competing with them.

 

And as far as MLS platforms and the mobile world are concerned, we respectfully disagree on consumer’s predicted behaviours. Many are betting that consumers will use mobile devices the same way as they use the Internet. We don’t believe it. We don’t envision that consumers will use mobile devices to search through lists of data to find a product or service of interest…at least in the near-term.

 

Mobile devices are going to be used to seek out information on specific items. If the user experience is fast, clean and simple then consumers will come. This is how we’ve designed our Mobile MediaPod.

 

As far as seeking property information, the scenario of a home buyer driving in their car and using their iPhone to enter their search criteria to produce a list of properties is just not a practical consumer experience. They have a much more comfortable experience at home using the Internet.
